Marianne Bichsel
Marianne Bichsel’s career spans the public and private sectors, advising mayors, governors, members of Congress, and corporate executives on communications, public policy, and coalition building. As Vice President of External Affairs for Comcast, she led community impact, government relations, and communications. She transformed the company’s community investment, communications, and outreach strategies to strengthen its brand and advocacy capacity.
Before Comcast, Marianne founded Bichsel Public Affairs, helping corporate leaders, elected officials, and government organizations align communications with mission and values. She served as communications director to Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels, building support for civic initiatives, including the Seattle Waterfront and South Lake Union redevelopment.
Marianne has led crisis communications and government relations as CEO of The Wiley Brooks Company and shaped federal policy through national campaigns at Casey Family Programs. She has served as a senior congressional staffer, political advisor, and guest speaker at Harvard’s Institute of Politics.
She currently serves on the boards of the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, United Way of King County, and the Community Development Roundtable.
