Julie Anderson

Julie Anderson is recognized for her steady leadership during critical times for public trust and institutional credibility. Her extensive career includes roles in elected office, state government, nonprofit leadership, and business advocacy, all focused on ethical governance and coalition building.

With over a decade as a countywide elected executive in Pierce County, Julie oversaw elections, records, and significant public budgets while implementing reforms in transparency and technology. 

She has held senior policy roles at the Washington State Department of Commerce, aligning public policy with industry and community needs, and led human-services organizations as a nonprofit executive.

Her six years on the Tacoma City Council included serving as Deputy Mayor, where she advanced ethics and public engagement reforms. 

Most recently, she briefly served as Senior Director of Advocacy at a regional business organization.

Julie is an active board member for the Center for Leadership and Social Responsibility at UW Milgard School of Business, the American Leadership Forum, and FairVote Action. She is the Founder & Principal of After Office Advisors, helping elected officials transition thoughtfully beyond public office.
